We Can All Agree: Take Transit to Music Festivals!

July 15, 2019

SCH 8457

We all have different tastes in music. Our preference in music makes us unique, but it also allows us to find a sense of community. However, we can all agree: music is better live and in person!

In our region, we’re lucky to have music festivals that feature a wide range of options for all different tastes. One that comes to mind is this weekend starting this Friday, July 19 and ends on Sunday, July 21: Pitchfork Music Festival. Enjoy a mix of indie rock, electronic and hip-hop performing throughout this three-day weekend in Chicago’s Union Park.

There's not a lot of parking around Union Park, so we can agree: public transportation is the way to go. The festival takes place directly next to the CTA Ashland Green and Pink Line station. If you prefer to ride the bus, the Ashland (#9) and Madison (#20) routes will drop you right by the gates.

If you’re coming from the suburbs there’s many ways to access the CTA from Metra and Pace. Just use our Trip Planner to plan your trip for this weekend!
