Every summer since 1980, Chicago’s beautiful Grant Park on the city’s magnificent lakefront has been home to the world’s largest food festival, the Taste of Chicago. This year, the festival will begin on Wednesday, July 10 and end on Sunday, July 14. And it’s more than just food; the Taste features live music and exciting activities for the entire family.

The Taste is the nation’s premier outdoor food festival showcasing the diversity of Chicago’s dining community. For a city with different tastes, there’s a lot we can disagree about when it comes to food: whether it’s deep dish or thin crust pizza, if ketchup belongs on a hot dog, or what’s the best topping for an Italian beef.

But there’s something we can all agree on: transit is the best way to get to the Taste, or even any restaurant! Many of our region’s restaurants and food festivals are very close to a transit stop and taking transit can save you time and money.
