The RTA is announcing a call for Section 5310 Enhanced Mobility of Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities projects. We are inviting local governments, private non-profit organizations and transportation providers to apply for Section 5310 funding through an open competitive process initiated by the RTA. Applications are due May 2, 2019 at noon.

The RTA estimates $9 million will be available for award through this process. The Section 5310 Program currently funds a number of projects that are providing approximately 650,000 trips per year helping to improve mobility for seniors and individuals with disabilities. To obtain an application and for more information on the program, visit:

We are proud to administer dollars that help local governments and non-profit agencies provide these specialized transit services for seniors and people with disabilities. These funds are dedicated to removing barriers to transportation service and expanding the transportation mobility options available. The Section 5310 program is the only available source of federal transit funds for projects designed to serve older adults and people with disabilities that go beyond the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
