In celebration of Transit Employee Appreciation Day, we wanted to recognize the more than 16,000 hard working men and women who keep our regional transit system moving every day.
The CTA, Metra and Pace provide about 2 million rides each work day across the RTA’s six county region. From station attendants, to office workers, to drivers and conductors, we all work together to cover the 3,700 square miles in our system.
Many riders see the same employees on a daily basis; they become part of our commute and part of our lives.
